Previous Month’s Activities

The children showed a great interest in sensory activities this past month. Caleigh and Callie got messy and gooey as they explored with goop. Meanwhile, Lillabelle, Benjamin and Connor experienced the texture of bubble wrap as they walked on it with bare feet. At the sensory table, Nolan, Everly and Jackson examined various items under a microscope, prism and magnifying glass. Kennedy, Valerie and Bentley made music with shakers, tambourine and xylophone.

If I Had My Child To Raise Over Again

by Diane Loomans
I’d finger paint more and point the finger less.
I’d do less correcting and more connecting.
I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes.
I would be firm less often and affirm much more.
I’d build self-esteem first and the house later.
I’d teach less about the love of power and more about the power of love.
